As the name implies, Emergency Travel Certificate is issued for emergency purposes only, when and if the standard passport has been lost.

• Written application for TC;
• Photocopies of lost passport (data page and Italian visa page);
• Police report stating the lost of a Nigerian passport;
• Photocopies of Nigerian Passport of a guarantor who must be a Nigerian;
• Proof of address of guarantor;
• Letter of guarantee.

It is to be noted that:
Presentation of evidence of citizenship of Nigeria would assist in speeding up consideration of application

Emergency Travelling Certificate is valid only for journey to Nigeria. Holder is not exempted from complying with the immigration requirements of countries of transit
